It’s no secret that hospitals are cold and clinical to those whose unborn babies are diagnosed with a terminal or life-limiting diagnosis.
That’s where we come in! Life Meant to Live began as a sanctuary for the women who had nowhere else to go. We provide a warm, safe, judgment-free facility for women of all races, ethnicities, and social backgrounds. No matter what diagnosis your baby has received, we are here for you.
Fragile X Syndrome, Dandy-Walker Syndrome, and Turner Syndrome are a few of the diagnoses that we serve.
Fragile X Syndrome is the leading inherited cause of intellectual disability worldwide. FXS is a genetic disorder caused by a mutation of X chromosomes that affects a person’s development, especially their behavior and ability to learn.
Dandy-Walker Syndrome, also known as Dandy-Walker malformation is a congenital brain malformation that causes an issue with how the brain forms. Symptoms in infants can include developmental delays, disproportionately large skull, and low muscle tone.
Turner Syndrome only affects females and happens when one of the X chromosomes are missing or partially missing. This can cause medical and developmental problems, including short hair, failure of the ovaries to develop and heart defects. Most girls and women with Turner Syndrome can lead healthy lives with ongoing medical care.
